Seeking a vendor with the drive to see a project through to the finish, the ILPA approached Radii for the creation of new tools and to improve user experience for both ILPA members and ILPA administrators.
Functionality is King
The ILPA is the global member-driven organization dedicated to advancing the interests of private equity Limited Partners through industry-leading education programs, independent research, best practices, networking opportunities and global collaborations. With a worldwide membership, the ILPA has over 260 member organizations that represent over $1 trillion USD assets under management. With a mandate to provide substantial services and functionality to its members globally, the ILPA sought a dedicated development team to make major improvements to their site; Radii was eager to take the challenge head on. In the course of several development stages, the Radii team of developers have harnessed their experience to provide the ILPA with an unprecedented level of service for the creation and implementation of various technological innovations.
Challenge: Effective Use
for Everyone
As the ILPA needed several sophisticated applications to be incorporated into their website, we wanted to develop tools which would be not only robust enough to meet their requirements, but also easy for their users and intuitive for the ILPA to manage.
During our Discovery Phase, we collaborated with the ILPA team to determine which technologies would be most useful. The ILPA was looking for a more thorough reporting and analytics program to monitor downloads, so we investigated the previous application coding and sketched out the most efficient route to developing a broad spectrum of reporting that would better meet their needs. Similarly, because the user experience of the ILPA’s members was of the utmost importance, we sought out ways to improve the entire website interface. After determining that we would construct the menu and banner structure in a more intuitive manner, we found that the ILPA website also needed a new administrative user interface for adding and editing content, as well as a more streamlined login requirement process. This would involve redesigning the workflow through the back-end management of the website, ultimately culminating in improved management efficiency.
Multiple Improvements and a Solution to Change the Industry
The best solutions arise as a natural consequence of taking the time to understand the needs of a client, so our thorough Discovery Phase coupled with previous experience came into play as we applied our findings to develop the new elements of the ILPA website. After analyzing their workflow, we implemented a new reporting and analytics process customized to the ILPA’s specifications, creating an easier method for ILPA administrators to monitor and edit reports. Likewise, we enabled the ILPA administrators to manage promotional banners with a click of a button.
To improve the entire user experience, we worked with ILPA to rethink the manner in which visitors to the site could retrieve information. We enhanced navigation and incorporated features for better networking and easier integration with Outlook calendars.
Our multiple collaborative additions have added value to the ILPA organization through increasing overall site functionality and improving user experience. Radii has enjoyed the various challenges put forth by the ILPA and will continue to work with the ILPA as a team to ensure their site performs at its peak long into the future.
